ACV is the publisher’s second best-selling game

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ab 39,00 at buy) is a huge hit for publisher Ubisoft. According to the current annual report (until the end of September 2021), the game has become the second most successful, profitable title for the company since it was founded in 1986 in less than twelve months. In this context, the publisher again emphasizes the importance of the brand for the company.

Ubisoft: “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has outperformed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey across the board, especially with higher DARPU scores [Daily Average Revenue Per User; durchschnittliche Tageseinnahmen pro Nutzer]. This quarter, the expansion “Siege of Paris”, which was developed under the direction (…) of Ubisoft Singapore, reached a record number of players. We plan on delivering great new content for Year 2 of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, especially in the second half of the current year. ”

The next expansions for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla should appear by the end of March 2022. The content of “Year 2” is still unclear. Rumors: According to Dataminer j0nathan (via Eurogamer) the name of the new expansion will be “Dawn of Ragnarok”. She is supposed to play in Svartalfheim, the home of the dwarves. The “fiery” inhabitants of Muspelheim are supposed to invade the dwarf kingdom. Dark elves may also appear.

For Assassin’s Creed Valhalla two expansions, several patches / updates and recently the Discovery Tour: Viking Age have been released on PC.

Far Cry 6 also got off to a good start, according to Ubisoft. The first sales figures are roughly the same as those of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The playing time per player should be 25 percent higher at FC6 than at Far Cry 5.
