Bandai Namco uses Dead by Daylight and announces an asynchronous multiplayer hunt in the Dragonball universe

The multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight by Behavior Interactive is still popular with fans even after years and has left one or the other imitator behind. The asymmetrical horror experience combines specially created characters and the crème de la crème of the slasher classics under one roof. Sometimes you can find yourself in the company of Michael Myers from Halloween, Ghostface from Scream or Pyramid Head from Silent Hill.

Bandai Namco is now based its variant on this concept and has developed its very own asymmetrical multiplayer action game with the recently announced Dragon Ball: The Breakers. The trailer shows how this can be imagined: As in the alleged inspiration, the survivors hear a heartbeat when the enemy approaches. The look of the game, of course, deviates completely from the dark original and is colored according to the source template. The characters are kept in the style of the Dragon Ball anime and move trembling through the environment – and much faster than in the original.

In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, a group competes against a single player. There will be seven survivors who flee from a so-called “raider” and have to escape. The aim of the group is to collect different things on the map in order to start a “super time machine” and to escape with it. In addition, some items can also be used to defend yourself against the hunter. The survivors are actually only civilians of Ginger Town, but each of them is given certain skills to have a chance against the strong enemy. When they reach their highest power level, they become as strong as Goku himself.

So while the survivors are looking for the items, it is the raider’s job to stop them. By fulfilling certain conditions, he can become stronger and thus gain an advantage over the team. Should the villain reach his final form, he will probably be unstoppable. The official Dragon Ball website says: “Should he reach his final form, he will acquire a previously unknown power and be able to wipe out all survivors in one fell swoop !!!”
