Basic defense against thousands of opponents

Age of Darkness: Final Stand has started Early Access on Steam (price: 21.99 euros). PlaySide and Team17 estimate that Early Access will last at least a year. In the early access process, new units, buildings, opponents, heroes, more unit actions, a story campaign and a multiplayer mode are to follow.

Age of Darkness: Final Stand is a dark fantasy real-time strategy game in which you have to defend your own base from numerous opponents – roughly comparable to They Are Billions. During the day you build your base and expand. During the night, thousands of opponents (according to the developer) have to be defeated. Heroes will also be used in the fight against the armies of darkness. You will be able to improve your own troops with a skill tree.

The current Early Access version includes the survival mode, in which strategic construction, resource management and the quick recruitment of units are the key elements for survival. The survival mode is said to offer “high replayability” with roguelite bonds.
