Bomb! Microsoft has just released cloud games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for insiders

Microsoft has just announced that users enrolled in the Xbox Insider program can already test, starting today, 28, the support for cloud games on Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles. available to everyone, but before that we will explain this innovation to you.

The idea here is that you can play only through the cloud, that is, over the internet, without the need for installations or downloads. This feature has two fundamental pillars in mind:

  1. For Xbox One Users, they will be able to play new generation titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Starfield, Stalker 2, among others.
  2. For Xbox Series X|S Users, more especially for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass, just like on Netflix, you will be able to try the games without even instigating them. This will save you time trying out several titles in the service’s vast catalogue. And even when your download starts, you can already play the game long before it’s downloaded. This is also true for Xbox One.

However, other benefits are also highlighted by Microsoft itself:

Cloud gaming on your console reduces your time for fun and lets you Quickly enter online multiplayer matches with your friends, allowing you to play Xbox Game Pass games without having to wait for an installation. Furthermore, save hard disk space! To get started, navigate to the Xbox Game Pass on your console and look for games with the cloud icon.

Who can already use this? Microsoft says that, at least for now, users on Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Insiders cycles can take advantage of it today. However, Microsoft will expand to more Insiders over time until it reaches all users.

And how do you use it? If you’re looking for a full list of supported games, go to My Games & Apps > Full Library > Xbox Game Pass and set the filter to “Cloud games” to explore. Then click on the “Play” button with cloud icon and go to the game. It’s that simple!

It’s incredibly strange to imagine that only with our internet we can play our favorite games through Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly called Project xCloud). But this is the future and something Microsoft wants to deliver firsthand for its customers to enjoy!
