Call of Duty: Vanguard has multiplayer featured in a trailer with official details

Call of Duty: Vanguard was the protagonist of a new presentation, in this case focused on multiplayer mode, with a spectacular trailer that showcased various features and some details that emerged from this ad. The video consists of a quick montage of cutscenes and gameplay that gives an idea of ​​the variety of situations, weapons and scenarios we find ourselves in in the mulitplayer of the new chapter in the series.

As for more detailed information, it was found that Call of Duty: Vanguard will contain 20 maps for multiplayer at launch, which is the highest number seen so far in the series compared to this game mode, with more maps that can be added next probably. 16 maps are for standard multiplayer, while 4 are dedicated exclusively to Champion Hill mode.

Map configurations span the various fronts of World War II and include Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Pacific, as well as continental Europe and several other countries that were affected by the conflict. Among the new modes is Patrol, or a modification of Hardpoint, which adds to several classic modes such as Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Search & Destroy, in addition to the already announced Champion Hill.

Among the main innovations in terms of multiplayer gameplay there is also a greater possibility of destruction of elements of the scenery: this greater interaction allows a selective and tactical destruction of some parts of the environments, guaranteeing to blow up the enemy’s covers.

Among the news we also find the possibility of shoot blindly behind objects: This is an important new feature, as it allows you not to expose yourself to enemy fire, but to shoot from a relatively safe spot, albeit with much lower accuracy, similar to what happens in many third-person shooters.

There are no multiplayer factions in Call of Duty: Vanguard, but there is one. new clan-linked progression system, which works independently of console generation and platform. Activision also mentioned a different system for managing the “pace” of game intensity through several options:

  • Tactical, with classic 6v6 experience
  • Assault, with a balance between fast pace and calmer moments with time to think and number of players ranging from 20 to 48

  • Blitz, which instead increases tension and pace significantly
