Activision has officially released installation sizes for the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard on November 5th, and although the COD series is known as ridiculous file sizes in recent years, the Vanguard is not so bad to start!
On Xbox One, you are looking for a download of 56,6 GB, while the Xbox Series X and Series S are clocked a little higher with 61 GB. Some Xbox owners have suggested it could go up to 72.6GB on the Xbox Series X, though.
Here are the official download sizes and space details required for all consoles:
- PlayStation 5: 64.13 GB Download | 89.84 GB of space required.
- PlayStation 4: 54.65 GB Download | 93.12 GB of space required.
- Xbox Series X|S: 61 GB Download | 61GB of space required.
- Xbox One: 56.6 GB Download | 56.6 GB of space required.
The reason for the smaller file sizes at launch is because Activision is using “new on-demand texture streaming technology”, which means the Sledgehammer Games team can achieve “up to 30% – 50% + of a file size difference”.
Pre-downloading has already started for those who have purchased the game, and you should also be able to download it via the Xbox mobile app, even if you haven’t pre-ordered Vanguard yet. This time, next week, we can start playing!
