Call of Duty Vanguard has gone through a real collapse in terms of launch sales with respect to the British market, while still easily earning first place in the weekly ranking of best-selling games.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, according to data collected by GSD, Call of Duty Vanguard would have gotten 40% less sales than the previous chapter, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, compared to the UK.
The decline is more accentuated on the front also due to the fall of the physical market, but it is also significant for the digital edition of the game: on the last front, the Vanguard recorded 26% fewer sales of thewhat in the previous chapter, while in the physical edition it fell 44%.
This may indicate a certain weariness for the brand, which for years has been revived annually with the entire Activision practically dedicated to this. However, it’s still the second biggest release of the year in the UK, surpassed only by FIFA 22. Only the two titles in question compete for the top of the weekly rankings in the UK for the week ended 6 November 2021, visible below:
- Call of Duty: Vanguard
- FIFA 22
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- Mario Party Superstars
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
- Far Cry 6
- Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
