Changes to pacts, media, and NPC names

Blizzard has announced the planned improvements for the 9.1.5 update of World of WarCraft: Shadowlands. The test run of the update should start in the next week.

Switching between the pacts and the media should be made easier. Blizzard highlights the following points:

  • “Players who achieve maximum fame for their pact can freely switch between the four pacts with no cooldown or other restrictions. Cosmetic rewards, including pets and mounts granted through this pact, are permanently available afterwards, even if you are one Switching between pacts and using cosmetic rewards also applies to supporting characters once a character has reached fame.
  • Media energy is removed – media can be freely exchanged without restriction.
  • Completing a pact campaign with one character allows you to skip the same pact campaign with supporting characters and immediately earn the corresponding fame and a third soul bond without having to replay the entire story. “

In addition, further references from developers that are linked to the toxic behavior in the wake of the harassment suit (we reported) will be removed from the game. According to PC Gamer, it will be about WoW developers Jesse McCree, Luis Barriga and Jon LeCraft, whose names have been used for several non-player characters.

In a statement from the WoW team it goes on to say: “It also includes updates to improve the game environment for our community, including additional changes to some content to better convey our values, better visibility for the impact of your reports of in-game harassment, and tougher penalties for people who misbehave.”

Plans for update 9.1.5 (Source: Blizzard):

  • “New character adjustments: Nightborn and lightforged draenei receive a number of new character adjustments. There are further adjustments to the ear size for void elves, new travel forms for druids and new soul forms for night fae.
  • Legion Timewalking: Venture back into the Legion dungeons with Legion Timewalking and face the challenges waiting there, including Mythic + difficulty dungeons. When it is introduced, this event is active for two weeks and then changes to the usual duration of one week as part of further bonus events.
  • Skipping the Maw Introduction: Players who have completed the Maw Introduction with a character can speak to Highlord Darion Mograine in the capital cities to skip this game content with their supporting characters.
  • Island Expeditions: Queuing as a single player or in a group: Players can now queue up for island expeditions alone or in groups on the difficulty levels Normal, Heroic or Mythic and loot loads of treasure.
  • Talents and Ability Improvements: In Patch 9.1.5, we are working on additional updates for various class talents and abilities, including media, rune carving, and adjustments to the pacts’ class abilities.
  • Unlocking Allied Races: Allied races such as the People of Kul Tiras, Mechagnome and Dark Iron, who previously required completing a dungeon to unlock, no longer need to complete the respective quest to gain access to these races. Players can simply skip them instead.
  • Additional Travel Points in the Maw: Players can unlock additional fast travel options from Ve’nari’s Refuge in Doom Fortress and Desmotaeron within the Maw.
  • New delivery option for Anima: Completing quests for Archivist Roh-Suir grants access to an anime manager in Korthia, via whom Anima can be delivered directly.
  • Linking transmogrification sets: Show your complete transmogrification set in chat or online by simply linking it from the fitting. Players can hover over the items to see how they can be obtained, if they are already in their possession, or if the template is available for the viewing character.
  • Improvements for leveling up with second characters: Leveling up with second characters in Shadowlands will be improved through various new features. Among other things, another rank for heirloom upgrades has been added and several improvements have been introduced for Threads of Fate, including Torghast as an additional option and fame retention for completing bonus objectives.
  • Power Adjustments for PvP Gear: Low item level PvP gear will now scale to a higher item level in PvP situations. This should weaken the power imbalance a bit, so that new characters get the feeling of being able to keep up on battlefields and in arenas. This adjustment does not affect higher item level PvP gear.
  • Runic Carving Recipes: The number of times rune carving recipes are dropped in dungeons will be increased to 100% for all difficulty levels.
  • Classic Loot Mode for Battle for Azeroth: Classic Loot Mode is enabled for level 60 players in all Battle for Azeroth raids and dungeons. So you get random loot corresponding to a 5-player dungeon group or a 20-player raid. “
