City planning simulation for Meta Quest 2 announced

In 2015, publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Colossal Order released Cities: Skylines, an urban building simulation that is still popular today, which was initially implemented for the PC – but later also for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Next year, the series will appear in VR for the first time. Developer Fast Travel Games (Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife) announced in a video that Cities: VR would like to convey the game experience of the template in virtual reality. The first game scenes have also already been shown: You get a first look at the new control of the simulation with VR controllers.

Fast Travel Games wants Cities: VR to go on sale in spring 2022. The title will initially be released exclusively for Meta Quest 2 / Oculus Quest 2. The makers want to reveal more details about the game in the coming weeks before the release. In the past few months, the Oculus team has snapped up some well-known brands for the VR headset. In addition to the recently announced Cities: VR, Resident Evil 4 VR, the famous horror game by Capcom, has been released from a new perspective – you can read here what 4Players.de thought of it in the test. In addition, a VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is in development, which will also appear exclusively for Oculus Quest 2.
