Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed: Remake of the second part for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S announced

Crypto-137 returns in Destroy All Humans in 2022! 2 – Reprobed back on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. The game is a remake of Destroy All Humans! 2 (2006) and is being developed again by Black Forest Games. The studio from Offenburg was already for the successful remake of Destroy All Humans! (2020) responsible. Like the previous remake, Reprobed will be completely rebuilt on the basis of Unreal Engine 4, but should be based 1: 1 on the template. The original sounds and the story from DAH! 2 will also be retained, promises publisher THQ Nordic.

“After the KGB blows up the mothership, Crypto seeks revenge and hunts its adversaries in the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, Japan and even on the moon”writes the publisher.

In Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed will be able to pay a visit to various locations around the globe and wreak havoc in the flower power era. There is also a trip to the moon. Compared to its predecessor, the developers want to have significantly improved the destruction of the houses with the weapon arsenal of the flying saucer. After a few hits, the houses initially catch fire and are later destroyed. Speaking of houses: As soon as buildings are attacked, people flee from the supposedly safe accommodations and can then be picked up by Crypto’s flying saucer, which provides resources for necessary upgrades.

Meanwhile, Crypto-137 (without UFO) is a bit more mobile and can jet over the map with a jetpack. As with the original, the alien can use four new weapons: Dislocator (let people and vehicles jump around wildly; better controls), Meteor-Strike-Gun (artillery with meteorites), Gastro-Launcher (projects a hologram of the caretaker of the mother ship including the turret) and Burrow Beast Launcher (release underground monsters on people).

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed can also be played in cooperative multiplayer mode. Specific information about new or expanded content has not yet been given. It just means that the game will get “some new and updated features”.
