Halo Infinite has entered the Gold phase

Halo Infinite has entered the long-awaited Gold phase, confirmed to 343 Industries today during a live streaming. While multiplayer for the game is now available in beta, with progress being taken towards full release, campaign content is now locked for the end of the year.

“Going gold” is a phrase in the gaming industry that refers to when the content was ready to be printed onto a disc and shipped to retail. That doesn’t mean a game can’t get a patch from the first day, but at this point, the release date must be fixed. The campaign previews came out today and were very favorable.

So, on December 8th, 2021, it is certain that we will all be able to play Halo Infinite’s single player campaign, after the multiplayer mode was unexpectedly launched on November 15th, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Xbox brand.

The Halo Infinite campaign is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. Like all Xbox Game Studios games, it is also available on the Xbox Game Pass at launch.
