In case you’re living under a rock, the second technical (beta) preview of Halo Infinite will take place this weekend on Xbox One, Series X, Series S and PC, and so far it has received all the applause on social media.
Fans have turned to Twitter to express their love of multiplayer, with some even suggesting it is “the best Halo game so far” it’s the “perfect game for new players, but also perfect for Xbox Original gamers.”
The preview is available to those who signed up as Halo Insiders in advance, and runs from Friday to Monday (with specific times for PvP matchmaking), though it returns again from September 30th to October 6th.
Had a lot of fun with Halo Infinite MP today, loved the new Academy, checking out all the Spartan customizations coming and just feels so good. Found myself stopping at times to admire how great the these detailed textures look on Series X! #HaloInfinite pic.twitter.com/kLnI7enfcc

Played 3 hours of Halo: Infinite PVP. Wasn’t expecting to enjoy it HALF as much as I did. Every part of it felt so good – movement, gunplay, TTK. Map design was great. Gadgets were balanced. Whole thing just felt so, so right. Can’t wait to play plenty more of this in future.

I’ve been playing the multiplayer for every single Halo game over the course of the past several weeks.
After revisiting the Insider Flight last night, I can confidently say Halo Infinite is the best feeling Halo game to date.
A beautiful balance of speed and player weight. pic.twitter.com/needGWHizT

Can anyone really doubt Halo Infinite now? This is honestly stunning, graphically I would say it matches modern games but balances the art style of Combat Evolved. Perfect game for new players but also perfect for OG players. 343 really had found their balance. pic.twitter.com/F5SKOtRZ9O

There’s been a lot of love for the game, but not without its critics – notably the Halo Reddit community has suggested that the XP system isn’t that well designed and the aim doesn’t look quite right, especially on the controller.
Don’t get us wrong, as the general feeling of most players seems to be very positive so far!
