Some time ago, the developers at IO Interactive announced that Hitman 3 (from 43,99€ at buy) will also be supplied with new content in the second year after the release. The team has now revealed in a video what innovations fans can expect in the coming months. Those who haven’t had a chance to delve into the assassin’s latest forays can catch up with the launch of Hitman Trilogy on January 20, 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The collection includes the last three games in the series. The Hitman Trilogy will be available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers at launch.
Another highlight for Hitman 3 players to look forward to this year is the new Freelancer mode. This is a roguelite variant of Hitman, where planning plays an important role. Missions are accepted here in the brand new Safehouse. The special feature here is that you can only keep the items that you have in your inventory after completing the job. All other items remain at the destination. In the new video, the makers give a preview of the freelancer mode, which is scheduled to appear in spring 2022.
IO Interactive also announced that the VR mode, previously exclusive to PlayStation VR, will be available on PC on January 20, 2022. In the next few days, the developers want to publish a list of all compatible VR glasses. Technical improvements with ray tracing, VRS or Intel’s XeSS technology are also planned. A new map will be added later this year, currently codenamed Rocky.
