Keanu Reeves did not play the CD Projekt Red game at all

It’s been a year since Cyberpunk 2077 (from 19,98€ at buy) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Even before the title’s faulty condition dominated the headlines, the CD Projekt Red team was particularly pleased that they were able to cast a famous actor in the role of Johnny Silverhand in Keanu Reeves. In an interview about the recently published Unreal Engine 5 demo The Matrix Awakens for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, however, the actor has now revealed that he has not yet played Cyberpunk 2077 at all.

However, this decision has nothing to do with Cyberpunk 2077 per se. Keanu Reeves reveals that he doesn’t play video games in his spare time. In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, the actor only saw demonstrations – but he didn’t have the controller in his hand. Somewhat curious in this regard, however, is the statement by CD Projekt CEO Adam KiciÅ “ski, who claimed at the time Cyberpunk 2077 was launched that Keanu Reeves was playing the title and having a lot of fun with it. But then there was probably only marketing behind it. The development team is currently working on the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077, which will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S in early 2022. Previous owners can upgrade at no additional cost.
