Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 will not be released until 2023

Activision Blizzard had not yet announced any specific release dates for Overwatch 2 or Diablo 4. Nevertheless, it was widely assumed that at least one of these titles could still appear in 2022.

However, the publisher put a stop to this in an investor presentation published yesterday. There it says that although you can expect a significant amount of content from Blizzard in the next year, Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 are now expected to launch later than originally planned.

It also says: “These are two of the most anticipated titles in the industry, and our teams have made great strides toward completion over the past few quarters. However, we believe that the extra time we give teams to complete production and continue to build on their creative resources ensures that the titles will keep their community enthralled and carried away for many years after their release.

Finally, on this topic, it is said that one is confident that this is the right decision not only for the employees, but also for the players as well as the long-term success of the brands.
