PC version will be released at the beginning of January 2022

The PC version of God of War will be released on January 14, 2022 via Steam. The action adventure from Santa Monica Studio and PlayStation (Mobile) will be released for 49.99 euros.

Sony promises for the PC implementation: 4K resolution, support for the 21: 9 ultrawide image format, unlimited refresh rate and improved graphics (higher resolution for shadows, improved reflections in the field of vision, SSDO and more). DLSS (fps boost) and reflex (latency reduction) are also supported by Nvidia.

The manufacturer writes about the control: “Play your way. With support for the DualShock 4 and DualSense wireless controllers, a wide range of other gamepads, and fully customizable mouse and keyboard layouts, you can customize every action to suit your gaming style.”

To test the PS4 version (2018): Before the release, the realignment of God of War also caused skeptical reactions: It was about the lack of free jumping, the closer positioned camera, the Nordic scenario and Kratos as father – the modernized perspective and dramaturgy did not go down well with all fans. Has Sony Santa Monica been going in the wrong direction for five years? Or will Cory Barlog’s team succeed in rebirth of one of the most successful action adventure games of all time? We’ll tell you in the test how we like the Spartans in exile.
