Since yesterday God of War is also available for purchase for PC platforms thanks to the work done by Sony Santa Monica Studio and Jetpack Interactive, and it seems to be possible to play it also with an Xbox controller or a Nintendo controller.
In fact, Senior Technical Producer Matt DeWald confirmed these new features for the series during a recent interview with the magazine. Game Informer, talking in particular about the new functions dedicated to accessibility.
DeWald said that it was amazing” see people playing God of War with an Xbox controller. According to his words, in fact, the PC version of the game was designed from the ground up with the idea that some people would use a controller produced by a company other than Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The developer explained that for the occasion “all key symbols were also included so as not to confuse the player which buttons to press”. DeWald also stated that “no problems with that”.
“You can also use a Switch controller in the same way. You can definitely use any third party controls. We tried to add as many options as possible: why limit the people who want to play the title?”
Recall that God of War was released in 2018 exclusively for PlayStation 4 consoles, but now Sony has broken the exclusivity and surrendered to the PC.
