Post-apocalyptic roguelike tactics are battling their way through Early Access

On October 14, 2021 Konfa Games and tinyBuild released the 2D roguelike tactic Despot’s Game: Dystopian Army Builder in Early Access for PC, where it should be completed in a year at the latest. On Steam, where the previous user reviews have been “very positive”, a launch discount of ten percent on the regular retail price will be granted until October 21 (11.24 euros instead of 12.49 euros). With the release of the full version, the price is to be increased.

Game description of the manufacturer: “Trapped in a huge maze-like complex of seemingly endless spaces, a weak group of people, stripped of both memories and clothing, come together to survive. But these unhappy souls are not alone – together they must fight Defend killer robots, man-eating cabbages, vicious hellhounds and other destructive forces led by the nefarious d’Spot who runs the show.

These poor souls need more than their bare skin if they are to survive. Equip the unarmed masses with a variety of killing tools, from flesh-ripping chainsaws and laser swords to ridiculous gadgets like pretzel throwers, handy sling balls and damaging refrigerators.

A balanced army is necessary to make the longest run, and the more unique weapons of the same class it has, the more power-ups it unlocks. Upgrade the cultist class to give them the ‘Call of Cthulhu’ so they can cause greater damage, and the cunning tricksters to dodge attacks with ease. Get mutations to give fighters thicker skin, get more bonus mana, increase attack speed and much more.

The group members all fight on their own, using their skills to turn the tide as long as they are well fed and positioned. It takes a shrewd strategist to lead this colorful troop and assemble the right sacks of meat for the fight. Mages in rabbit hats and ghost masks can cause damage from a distance, as can shooters with their crossbows and plasma cannons. Fighters go to the front lines with claws and Rocky’s boxing gloves to beat the enemies, while tanks protect the units with turret shields and period tables.

Don’t worry, new meat grinder meat is always available for the cheap price of two tokens and can also serve as a food source for a hungry army when desperate times call for desperate measures. And when the end is near, it will be time to face the ultimate challenge – the other players’ deadly endgame armies! ”

“We can’t wait to see the crazy battles that commanders will plunge into during Early Access,” said developer Nikolay Kuznetsov. “From soccer players killing zombies to Excalibur swords invading robots, everything is possible in Despot’s Game. We’re ready for absolute mayhem!”
