Psychonauts 2 named Game of the Year at Titanium Awards at Fun & Serious Game Festival


Psychonauts 2 won the Titanium Award for the best game of the year 2021 at the Fun & Serious Game Festival 2021 that took place in Bilbao these last two days. The game Double Fine Productions won the Game of the Year award at the video game awards with the longest history and reputation in Spain.

This year, the veteran festival celebrated its eleventh edition when it returned to its presence, with two days of lectures at BEC Bilbao, in which some great personalities from the videogames industry met, both physically and through videoconferencing.

The event was attended by Tim Schafer, creator of Psychonauts 2 and awarded years ago, Lianne Papp, executive producer of Back 4 Blood, Mauricio Garcia of The Game Kitchen, Marina Gonzalez of Deconstructeam and Arturo Monedero of TLR Games, among others.

Psychonauts 2 won the game by a few votes to It Takes Two, another of the year’s top performers, who won the best game design category. Deathloop e Metroid Dread were two other award-winning games, while the event also recognized ARCANE, League of Legends’ major adaptation of an animated series.
