Publisher confirms development of three new games in the Star Wars universe, Respawn heavily involved

It looks like Electronic Arts is putting all of its plans in the hands of Respawn Entertainment with the soon-to-be-expired Star Wars license. The studio was already responsible for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019 and will now take care of three projects related to the sci-fi saga. In cooperation with Lucasfilm Games, the successor to Jedi Fallen Order has now been officially confirmed. For a long time there were rumors about the sequel, which could possibly be released this year – if you believe what journalist Jeff Grubb said. EA has not yet commented on an appointment.

In addition, Respawn Entertainment is working on a first-person shooter in the Star Wars universe. However, details of the game were not revealed. However, the team has already gained experience in this genre in the past with Titanfall or Apex Legends. Finally, a strategy game is also in development. Here, Respawn will act as a publisher and support the Bit Reactor team. The newly founded studio (we reported) consists of former employees of Firaxis Games, who have worked on the XCOM series, among other things. Again, those responsible have not yet shared any further information.
