During the tranquil Stardew Valley farm adventure (from 13,99€ at buy) the records tumble again. A shortage of young farmers does not seem to be in sight even five years after the release of the original PC. As reported by pcgamer.com, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has now broken the mark of 15 million units sold with his successful title (not broken down by platform).
It was not until January 2020 that the last audience-effective number was reached with 10 million sales. Actually, Barone just wanted to implement his personal vision of the genre that was once started by Harvest Moon. However, some players seem to share his idea of it, especially since the developer delivered updates such as a multiplayer. In the meantime, however, he wants to focus on his next game (also a pixel art title with a different principle), Barone told Eurogamer.net on the sidelines of an esports tournament about the game. He cannot say yet whether there will be another update on Stardew Valley.
