Square Enix Announces Release of New Kart Racing Game on Nintendo Switch

In September 2021, as part of a Nintendo Direct with Chocobo GP, Square Enix presented a new kart racing game for Nintendo Switch, which is a spin-off of the famous Final Fantasy series. Now the release of the title has also been announced: The game will be available digitally in the eShop from March 10, 2022. On the occasion of the event, the next trailer was published, which shows well-known characters from the role-playing game series such as Steiner, Vivi or Mog in action.

In addition to various offline game modes, including campaign, time trial or racing series, players can also look forward to online activities in Chocobo GP. These include classic races against drivers from all over the world as well as a battle royale-like game mode with a total of 64 participants. Square Enix will also release a lite version of Chocobo GP, which will be an extensive demo. Here players can try out the prologue of the story as well as online modes.
