Stalker 2 cancels NFTs, fan and player interests is ‘priority’ for the team


Earlier this week, developers of the long-awaited Xbox 2022 release, Stalker 2, announced that the game would implement NFTs as part of the newly created “Stalker Metaverse”.

GSC Game World CEO Evgeniy Grygorovych at the time explained how “many things” were done improperly in this regard and mentioned how he expected Stalker 2 to change that. despite that, fans were not impressed.

In response, Stalker 2’s social account tweeted explaining everything in more detail and then deleted it, and now – after even more reactions, the development team has announced that the game will no longer include NFTs. Here’s the latest full update via Twitter:
