Standalone implementation of the PSVR shooter no longer supports the Oculus Quest 1

It is slowly getting tight for owners of the two year “old” first Oculus Quest. In addition to titles such as Resident Evil 4, Hellsweeper VR and one of the multiplayer modes in Rec Room, the quest implementation of the tactical team shooter Alvo should only support the current Oculus Quest 2.

Developer Mardonpol confirmed this decision to Uploadvr.com. Last week, the developers searched for participants in the beta for Oculus Quest 2 via Discord. The main features of the PSVR original are:

  • Immediate Action – By implementing a dedicated server and dynamic, bot-filled lobby system with empty space, you will be in combat within seconds of joining friends for a smooth and steady state.
  • Freedom of Movement – ALVO allows you to fire weapons and throw grenades while running, jumping, climbing, sliding, crouching and even lying down to create an unparalleled VR experience.
  • Customization – With its wide range of options, you can customize the gun attachments to your personal specifications. Modify your HUD to show or hide visual information in the well-integrated user interface, or play around with the audio and comfort settings to give you the best immersive experience.
