Activision’s first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard made its debut on both PC and consoles on November 5, 2021. After the initial euphoria, however, there is now a lot of criticism from the ranks of the community. Especially in the crossfire is the zombies mode, which is not well received by a large number of fans.
As can be read at Reddit.com, among others, there are increasing complaints about this mode. There is now even a thread that lists the most important and most frequently mentioned points of criticism. At the top of this list is the lack of understanding by fans about the fact that it is not possible to pause the game in Zombies mode. Even in offline mode, there is nothing to be done in this regard, which is inexplicable for large parts of the community.
Furthermore, fans complain about the lack of content and new features. The developers of Sledgehammer Games, for example, have omitted both Easter eggs and turn-based cards. They are also looking in vain for skill trees for the weapon classes. The fans are outraged about the perks, as their number is very manageable and there are even no new variants. It can therefore be said that the Zombies mode of Call of Duty. Vanguard is by no means as popular as the developers had hoped.
