The cosmetic pedestrian zone package at a glance

The cosmetic “Pedestrian Zone Package” (4.99 euros) for Anno 1800 (from 27,95 at buy) appear.

“With this DLC we wanted to create a series of ornaments that again focus on the city center. With our last Season 3 DLCs, we introduced a lot of new content with a focus on the inner cities, such as the hotel or the skyscrapers, so we wanted we provide ornaments that fit the cities that have now become even larger and more modern “, writes Tim (lead artist) on Anno Union.

The ornaments include, for example, a pedestrian bridge, an underpass, toilets, sidewalks, ornamental trees, a market hall and two types of canals.

“The ‘Pedestrian Zone Package’ contains two types of channels. One suits your population centers, a much more decorative and elegant design, filled with fresh and clean water. The other for your industrial areas in a darker, dirtier design with sewer pipes around the Look. (…) The system gives you a lot of freedom to design the appearance of the city creatively. You can determine the overall appearance yourself: Do you want to build small, narrow canals or large rivers or even lakes? The tiles (as you may know it from ‘Land of the Lions’) automatically merge to form larger areas of water when placed next to each other. You will even see how some of your citizens enjoy a boat trip on the canals (… ) “, it continues.

In the further course of the year the “Lively Cities DLC” with new skins for buildings is to be published. Update 13 is planned for December 2021. In addition to “quality of life improvements” and bug fixes, the update will contain a new game mode (“Green Game Jam”). In this mode you will travel to another region to develop a city and complete an environmental project. Sustainability should be particularly important. In the new area, greater attention will have to be paid to the environment and the effects, e.g. overfishing, problems of food supply through monocultures, environmental pollution, finite ore deposits and trees can only grow back if there are enough other trees.
