The Legacy of the Sith expansion will be postponed shortly before release

Bioware is postponing the next expansion “The Legacy of the Sith” for Star Wars: The Old Republic (from 79,95 at to buy) . Instead of the originally planned on December 14, 2021, the next chapter of the saga will not appear until February 15, 2022. Actually, the expansion of the Star Wars MMO was intended to usher in the tenth anniversary of the online role-playing game.

According to project leader Keith Kanneg, part of the delay is due to feedback from the public test server. In an update post on the official website, he explains that the team has decided that the expansion is not yet ready to go online.

“The legacy of the Sith is something the team has been working hard on for quite some time, but the closer we get to publication, the more it becomes clear that we need a little more time.”
wrote Kanneg. “In the additional tests, we’re focusing on the many areas that we’ve changed throughout the game to give you the experience we want and deserve. Your feedback was also received during our public test server (PTS ) invaluable to help us create this extension. “

Nonetheless, Kanneg continues, most of the new content and features in the expansion that are not part of the story will return to the public test servers later this week. “The Legacy of the Sith” is set to continue the story of The Old Republic. Players will try to bring down the renegade Sith Lord Darth Malgus on the water planet Manaan. The expansion also introduces a new combat system designed to make combat more fun for newbies.

The online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Rebublic was released for PC in 2011.
