The newly announced adventure from PortaPlay is the publishing premiere of Dontnod Entertainment (Life is Strange, Vampyr)

The French developer studio Dontnod, which has worked on Life is Strange, Vampyr and Remember Me, among others, is now also active as a publisher. The first release project was the adventure Gerda: A Flame in Winter from the Danish studio PortaPlay.

Enriched with RPG elements, the title transports the players to Denmark, which was occupied by Germany at the time of the Second World War. Inspired by real events, you slip into the role of Gerda, a nurse who gets caught up in the chaos of war by an unfortunate coincidence.

However, A Flame in Winter does not tell a front story. The setting for exploring the tranquil sections, cultivating relationships with other people and making important decisions is the small Danish village in which she grew up.

Gerda: A Flame in Winter will appear on PC and Switch in 2022. The teaser trailer gives a little insight into the story-driven adventure.
