As publisher Hooded Horse reports, the strategy game Terra Invicta will no longer be released this year as originally planned. The second quarter of 2022 is targeted as the new date for the project developed by Pavonis Interactive. The additional time should be used to fine-tune the balance and the AI, among other things.
John Lumpkin, Creative Director at Pavonis, says: “Developing on Terra Invicta has been a fantastic journey over the past four years. All of the main features are built in and will continue to be refined through to launch. But we decided it was important to postpone it to ensure that the release meets player expectations is equivalent to.”
“John and the entire Pavonis team have done a phenomenal job with Terra Invicta,” added Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse. “The development team is determined not to compromise the quality of the game in any way and we support them in doing so. We know that there will always be a certain amount of disappointment among the fans who look forward to playing the game.
But delaying is the right decision to make sure they can have an experience that fully meets their expectations. ”
As a little consolation, Pavonis Interactive has released the following “delay trailer”.
