Two cosmetic DLC and Update 13 with “Sustainability Mode”

On August 31, 2021 at 6 p.m., game update 12 and the download expansion “Dcher der Stadt” (Season 3 DLC 3) will be released with high-rise buildings as a major endgame challenge for Anno 1800 (from 33,17 at buy) appear. Two further cosmetic enhancements and Update 13 are to follow in the course of the year (source: Reddit, Livestream).

The “Pedestrian Zone Package” is currently planned for September 28, 2021 (overpasses and underpasses, statues, fountains and more). The “Lively Cities DLC” with new skins for buildings will be released at the end of the year. The cosmetic DLCs only bring new optical elements (without function) into play.

Update 13 is planned for December 2021. In addition to “quality of life improvements” and bug fixes, the update will contain a new game mode (“Green Game Jam”). In this mode you will travel to another region to develop a city and complete an environmental project. Sustainability should be particularly important. In the new area, greater attention will have to be paid to the environment and the effects, e.g. overfishing, problems of food supply through monocultures, environmental pollution, finite ore deposits and trees can only grow back if there are enough other trees.
