Update 1.1.2 is here, the first step towards merging servers

Hardly a day seems to go by that you don’t go back to New World (from 39,99€ at pre-order) must come to speak. Because anyone who wanted to log into the online role-playing game this morning was standing in front of a locked door. Amazon Game Studios had already shut down the servers for maintenance work at 8:00 a.m. German time – and at the same time released the 1.1.2 update.

This update is not the extensive December update including the big winter event. Still, the patch is anything but unimportant. With version 1.1.2, the developers are creating the technical requirements for the planned server consolidation. In addition, all those players who have lost their houses due to a rollback (we reported) now have the opportunity to buy them again and ultimately use them. There is also an important change in one of the world events.

It is still not known exactly when the big December update will be released. Here is an overview of the current patch notes:

  • Technical basics for server consolidation

World experience

  • The limited time world event “Turkey Terror” has been deactivated and will return in the future.

  • Players can buy and use houses that were lost during a rollback. This should also allow gamblers to pay taxes on their houses if they encountered this problem.

New World was released for PC on September 28th. You can read the test result on 4Players.der here.
