Blizzard Entertainment has kept its word and released Update 12 (also known as Update 2.3) for Diablo 2 Resurrected. The download is available on both PC and consoles and should actually take place automatically the next time the game is started – you can also start it manually if necessary.
This is a very extensive update, which has some features that have long been desired by fans, especially for the PC version. A function called “Force Move” is now available, which sends the character to a certain location at the push of a button without having to aim at a monster or the like. The “Quick Cast” is also new: This is a feature that triggers abilities stored on hotkeys without first having to select them in the interface. The result of this is a not insignificant time saving and thus a better flow of the game.
But even the owners of the console versions of Diablo 2: Resurrected do not go away empty-handed. PvP fans in particular can look forward to a new visual display for failed attacks. Update 2.3 also includes numerous optimizations, bug fixes and minor changes. The detailed patch notes for the PC version and the console version can be found on the official website.
Diablo 2: Resurrected was released on September 23, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Switch. You can find the test for the all-new devil hunt on 4Players.de here.
