Update adds new (lighter) game mode, Caos Collector’s Edition announced for PS5

We only recently discovered in a test on 4Players.de that the action adventure Aeterna Noctis is very challenging. And of course it wasn’t just us who noticed this. Numerous fans of the game have contacted the developers and pointed out the high level of requirements. And the community has not fallen on deaf ears at Aeternum Game Studios.

As the developers report, the first major update has taken this feedback and added a new game mode, which is much more accessible, especially with regard to the platform sequences. “Noctis” corresponds to the originally published version of the game – nothing has been changed here apart from a few bug fixes.

For the new “Aeterna” mode, however, the studio has changed all levels and defused them so that the focus here is even more on exploration and battles. To make things a little easier for the players, the bosses’ health points have been reduced. Additionally, there are more throne rooms on the map to make travel easier. Very nice: You can switch between the two modes without having to start a new game.

At the same time, a Caos Collector’s Edition has been announced for the PlayStation 5 (Aeterna Noctis was created with the support of the “PlayStation Talents” initiative).
