Video recording and sharing is to be improved

That the Xbox Series X (from 529,90€ at buy) has some catching up to do in terms of video recording and clip sharing options on the Xbox Series X and also lags behind what Sony is offering on the PS5 in terms of quality. Microsoft is also aware of this, as Jason Ranold, Xbox Director of Program Management, recorded in a podcast reported by colleagues from VGC.

“I would say that Game DVR is the area in which I would have liked to have made more progress this year than we have been able to.” He said this is definitely a priority for Xbox employees over the next year and that the manufacturer is actively listening to feedback on Game DVR features. “We’ve made some changes and improved the reliability and quality of the recordings. But we know we still have a lot to do here.”

However, he did not want to specify a time frame in which further improvements in this regard could be expected next year. Accordingly, all you have to do is be patient and hope that the DVR updates won’t be too long in coming.
