It was in 2017, more specifically on October 3, when the last installment of the Forza saga saw the light. We are talking about four years since the launch of Forza Motorsport 7 and I dare say that all its followers are eager to hear about the new installment of the Turn 10 saga.
Those most faithful to this series of video games will know that in July 2020, more than a year ago, they presented us with a trailer of the new installment that will presumably cease to be numbered and is known as Forza Motorsport – which will be available on GamePass from the day of your departure -. Our hope is that in the TGAs that will be broadcast on Thursday, December 9, they will give us some surprise from Turn 10 and Forza.
Few novelties and a mirror in which to look at yourself
So far, a year after the trailer of this new installment of Forza Motorsport we have not heard anything else about it except a couple of details that came directly from the hand of Turn 10. What we were clear about is that this new game will presumably be a great generational leap. One of the good things about Forza Motorsport 7 is its wide variety of vehicles, and that is that the game has more than 700 cars at your disposal. Each and every one of them totally different when competing.
The Forza developers have let us know that they will try to improve the online mode with a new feature called “Race Weekend,” which will feature free practice, qualifying, and a race. We’ll see how they manage to adapt it with the player rankings in order to avoid the dirtiest and most “aggressive” on the court. Another novelty is that in practice mode you will have what they called “corner mastery”, which would be something like “cornering mastery”. This option will be available in free practice mode and it will tell you the exact point of the circuit where you lose or gain time in order to improve your driving.
In addition to that, it seems that we will finally have different tire compounds to use various strategies in the race, which was about time after so many deliveries. Almost as necessary as that compound implementation are the animations in boxes, which seems to also arrive in this new installment of Forza Motorsport.
What do you think, can we enjoy something new in these TGAs? Remember that if all goes well, this new Forza will be released at the end of 2022. In the meantime, we will continue with Forza Motorsport 7 while we want to accelerate and go straight to the new installment of Turn 10.
