We’ll see the Halo Infinite campaign on October 25th

Developer 343 Industries will share a summary of the Halo Infinite campaign on October 25, 2021 at 10 am, Brazil’s time. The Halo Infinite campaign hasn’t been seen since the game preview in July 2020, apart from a short cinematic that was aired during E3 2021. In recent months, developers have focused on technical testing of the game’s fully multiplayer part, which is fully free to play and supports 120 FPS on Xbox Series X.

The Halo Infinite campaign will be set three years after the events of Halo 5: Guardians, and will be the continuation of the story started by 343 in Halo 4. The iconic Master Chief will play a bigger role than in the previous game. The story will continue with the AI Cortana taking control of the galaxy using the Guardians, the ancient Forerunner war machines.

The footage we saw from the Halo Infinite campaign suggests that the Master Chief will begin the campaign by floating through space near Zeta Halo, where he will be saved by a UNSC soldier known only as “The Pilot”. Hopefully, much of the game will focus on fighting the Outcasts in Zeta Halo and unraveling the mystery surrounding Cortana. This shift in focus also opens the door for more secondary objectives to be completed between story missions.

Otherwise, specific details surrounding the Halo Infinite campaign have been relatively sparse, but we know the linear formula of previous titles will change. Halo Infinite is scheduled for release December 8, 2021 for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. Like all titles first party Xbox, it will be available on the Xbox Game Pass from day one.
