Xbox and Bethesda lead with 20 nominations for The Game Awards 2021

We’ve received the full list of nominations for The Game Awards 2021 today, which takes place on December 9, and Xbox and Bethesda are leading the pack, with a whopping 20 nominations in total. The runner-up is Sony, but in a much more distant position.

Although Halo Infinite cannot participate this year as it will only be released on December 8th, the number of awards is high for Microsoft and, as Aaron Greenberg was keen to point out, it is a new record for the studios. first party.

A great day for our core teams. Congratulations on a record 20 nominations at Xbox/Bethesda Studios.

The nominations for each category are as follows:

  • Deathloop (game of the year)
  • Psychonauts 2 (game of the year)
  • Deathloop (Best Game Direction)
  • Psychonauts 2 (better game direction)
  • Deathloop (best narrative)
  • Psychonauts 2 (best narrative)
  • Deathloop (Best Art Direction)
  • Psychonauts 2 (best art direction)

  • Age Of Empires IV (Best Yes / Strategy)
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator (Best Yes / Strategy)
  • Forza Horizon 5 (Best Sport / Racing)
  • Starfield (most anticipated game)

As you can see, so much Psychonauts 2 how much Deathloop are particularly well represented, with the latter remaining a PlayStation exclusive for now due to a deal that was finalized prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda.

You can discover the winners and watch all the action at The Game Awards 2021 right here on Windows CLub in December, and hopefully Xbox Game Studios might even win Game of the Year! However, we also hope to see some new Xbox games there. Furthermore, Deathloop leads alone with 9 nominations, the Arkane is already a big standout and hopefully Redfall is just as fun.

The division Playstation ranked second with 11 nominations, which I particularly consider a lot considering the few games that have been released this year, many ended up being postponed to 2022. Third place goes to Square Enix e EA who tied with 10 nominations.
