Final Fantasy 7 Remake could also arrive in the near future on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. At least that seems to suggest a poll posted by the Chinese division of Xbox on Twitter.
As GameRant reports, one poll in question asked players to choose their favorite “Xbox” character from the available options. Among them was also Tifa Lockhart, one of the protagonists of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The tweet was removed shortly after publication and replaced by a new poll this alternative was no longer available.
Of course, there is a possibility that this is a simple error or that the “Tifa” referred to by the offensive tweet is actually the one from the original Final Fantasy VII, also available on Xbox consoles. This is unlikely for us, but it cannot be ruled out.
However, although Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently only available on PS5 and PS4, nothing would prohibit Square Enix from publishing the game on other platforms once the exclusivity period agreed with Sony have finished.
As we know, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s initial exclusivity period was supposed to last for a year, and then it ended up being extended for another six months, according to some rumors, with the release of the Intergrade version for PS5. In short, the agreement signed between Square Enix and Sony should come to an end at the end of the year, with the game that could, therefore, land on other platforms in the first months of 2022.
Likewise, a few months ago, Final Fantasy 7 Remake was located in the EpicData Tracker database, suggesting the arrival of the remake also on PC exclusively for the Epic Games Store.
