Xbox Series X|S appears to have already surpassed Xbox One sales in Japan
It looks like Xbox’s efforts to conquer the Japanese market may finally have paid off. After a year of worldwide availability, the Xbox Series X|S model apparently has already surpassed Xbox One lifetime sales in the region.
This information comes via the Game Data Library. Apparently he changed about 116,119 units in just one year compared to 114,726 Xbox One units after about seven and a half years. It’s important to note that the latest figure includes the combined sales of the Xbox Series X and S models.
although still don’t be totally official, it was just a matter of time – since last month, when it was revealed that the Xbox Series X|S surpassed 100,000 units sold in Japan. Game Data Library also reported that Xbox Series sales should exceed Xbox One sales. Famitsu will likely confirm the latest numbers as well.

In June, Xbox confirmed that the Japan was the fastest growing system market. Xbox has been saying for some time now how it intends to expand its reach in the region. It has also been working hard to secure Japanese partnerships and Japanese-made games for the Xbox Game Pass and the Microsoft Store.
